This course investigates moral issues which are important and relevant to the life sciences. These issues include: moral theory in general; solving applied moral dilemmas in health care contexts; professional responsibility in relationships with patients; medical research; beginning-of-life controversies; end-of-life controversies; gene therapy; and the justice and efficiency of different health care systems. Emphasis in class will be given to critical discussion and thoughtful debate about these complex, important and controversial topics

| wcccheng - 2011-04-06 12:54:44 One of my most enjoyable university courses. Topics are interesting and engaging. The professor randomly gave 'bonus marks to final grade'. My midterm was a 72% but when he reviewed it with me, he bumped me to a 90%. I suggest if you go to classes, go EARLY cuz classes are usually packed with students cause the class is that popular. |
